Beyerdynamic to distribute Violet Audio in the UK

Beyerdynamic have been appointed as sole
UK distributor for Violet Audio manufactured in Melbourne, Australia.
The first product in the series is the ADP61 preamp, a truly affordable
5.1/6.1 preamp equipped with professional balanced XLR connectors,
suitable for today's Hi-fi home theatre, professional & project
recording studios, mixing suites and postproduction houses.
The impressive spec of the ADP61 is matched
by great looks featuring a wide variety of connections that would
even put some professional mixers to shame. With active monitors
becoming ever more popular the need for a compact preamp decoder
without a power amplifier stage has become a necessity. The ADP61
is perfect as a main control hub, bridging together audio and video
connections within one easy solution. Complete with rack mountable
ears and an infra-red remote control, the ADP61 is an essential
part of today's mixerless DAW studio. The ADP61 features 24bit/192kHz
converters for decoding of digital devices and is compatible with
Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Surround EX, DTS, DTS ES, DTS ES Matrix,
DTS 96/24, DTS Neo systems. Digital inputs are available on Optical,
Coaxial and AES/EBU connectors.
A multitude of analogue and other digital
connections are available, with no less than 4 S-Video inputs. The
ADP61 can decode and monitor all types of signals, anything from
stereo to 5.1 or 6.1 surround sound. In addition all audio connections
are available on balanced XLR +4dB connectors, with a three way
selector to accommodate -10dB, Zero and +4dB input levels.
6 sets of RCA phono sockets are available
for ancillary equipment such as CD players, Video units, DVD player/recorders
or TV systems, as well as FM Coax and AM loop aerial connectors
for the internal Tuner. Also provided is a 25 pin 'D' plug for multi
channel input connection and an additional set of RCA phonos for
a 5.1 inputs. The unit also features a Digital Bass Management system
and Pink noise generator for speaker setup and test.
The front controls are clear and easy to
operate, featuring two large knobs for data adjustment and volume,
which come in both studio black and vibrant Violet. With the inclusion
of variable Treble and Bass trims on the rear, everything on this
unit has well thought out.
As a stand alone unit or mounted in a rack,
the Violet Audio ADP61 with its comprehensive range of professional
connectors is one of the most versatile preamps on the market for
today's multiple demands.
