Lights, Camera, Action A+K Home brings Hollywood to CEDIA Expo (13/4/2006)

Stand B3, CEDIA Expo 2006

With ExCel London providing the lights and the expectant press providing the cameras A+K Home can certainly take care of the action, as it promises to bring the revolutionary, unique and new standard setting Home Cinema products it is synonymous with to this year's Cedia Expo. High-end products from World leaders Stewart Filmscreen, Vidikron and Furman will all feature strongly in A+K Home's spectacular product showcase, presented in an impressive blackened Home Cinema style environment.

With Stewart Filmscreens comes unrivalled Home Cinema projection screens and the Cedia Expo sees the first UK based exhibition demonstration of 3 show stoppers. Stewart's CineCurve truly presents the Home Cinema enthusiast with maximum visual impact. Featuring a 2.35:1 aspect ratio to allow full enjoyment of images in the dramatic super-widescreen format, its curved shape enhances the super-wide image and creates an increased sense of immersion. The Stewart Media screen expands the concept of home multimedia entertainment, taking the dedicated cinema and moving it into the living space. It offers professional quality images and audio fidelity for multi-media in the home. Stewart Electriscreens with Lutron Sivoia Quiet Electronic Drive ( Q ED ) offer something that was until now unachievable- a motorised screen operated in almost complete silence. These screens are the quietest electric screens on the market today. Impressively smooth and silent stops and starts enhance the viewing experience and are a "must see" at this year' s Expo.

Vidikron brings with it a selection from its 8 strong line-up of Home Cinema projectors along with its CineWide(TM) with AutoScope(TM), Vidikron's technology option which allows the uncompromised widescreen reproduction of films originally filmed in the CinemaScope(TM) 2.35:1 format. Through a combination of software, electronics and remote controlled motorised anamorphic optics, the projector is able to use the full pixel array on its LightAmp(TM) DMD(TM) or D-ILA(TM) chips, therefore producing a 2.35:1 image with enhanced resolution and increased brightness. No resolution is lost to annoying black stripes at the top and bottom of the screen that contain no picture information.

Vidikron's PlasmaView(TM) range offers a stunning line-up of high performance plasma display monitors. The three popular sizes, 42", 50" and 61" all feature HDTV capable, 16:9 native resolution display panels with advanced engineering innovations to give the brightest, clearest images possible. Multiple aspect ratio control includes Vidikron's IntelliWide(TM) mode, offering the ability to view standard video formats in widescreen without loss of image quality. IR and discrete RS-232 controls facilitate glitch-free custom installation, while Dynamic Pixel Protection(TM) helps to protect the plasma panel from stationary image burn.

Furman brings with it the most advanced power conditioning technology available, evident in a 6 product range of power conditioners, voltage regulators and uninterruptible power supplies. The products offered by Furman are critical core elements of a high-end Home Cinema and are seen as vital requirements for those Home Cinema enthusiasts who expect nothing less than protected, noise-free, flawless, premium performance. Furman meets the demands of today's most ambitious systems with advanced technological achievements such as Series Multi-Stage Protection Plus, Linear Filtering Technology, Extreme Voltage Shutdown, Ground Contamination Free Circuitry, Power Factor Correction and Discrete Symmetrical Power. When considerable investment is being made in Home Cinema equipment there is no better way to protect that investment than with superior conditioning and correcting products from this market leader.
