CEDIA UK Expo Seminars on Track for Success (13/4/2006)
In its newly published Expo Seminar Guide,
CEDIA (the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association)
has unveiled details of its centrepiece education and training programme,
taking place at this year's CEDIA Expo (19th - 22nd June 2006, ExCeL
London).
The new and expanded Expo Seminar Guide features
full course descriptions and timings for the extensive range of
seminars, workshops and forums taking place at CEDIA Expo. It will
allow visitors to plan their visit to Expo well in advance, and
provides all the information they need to reserve course places
at the earliest possible opportunity. CEDIA has introduced 24 brand
new courses, updated a further 20 existing courses and, through
restructuring the programme, can now offer an 82% increase in hours
of training over what was offered last year.
New courses will explore Digital Rights Management,
High Definition and Marine Installations amongst others. CEDIA has
also introduced a series of introductory half day and one day workshops,
including an intensive one day Project Management Workshop and a
Media Center Workshop. Other courses have been completely revised,
such as, the two day Home Cinema Workshop and IP Based Audio and
Video Distribution (one of last year's most popular courses). Another
highlight will be revised courses on new technologies and the impact
these are likely to have on the custom installation sector - in
one of these Steve Moore will be delivering his own unique and insightful
vision of where our industry is going. Installer Level 2 certification
will be available at this year's Expo for the very first time outside
of the US. Extensive manufacturer product training will also be
on offer - full details can be found on the Expo website.
"Through the Expo seminar programme, CEDIA
is reinforcing its commitment to education and its determination
to maintain high standards in the residential custom installation
industry" said CEDIA UK's Education Chair, Steve Martin. "Courses
will once again follow a career-track approach covering installers,
designers, customer relations managers, project managers and business
owners. CEDIA believes that this allows employers to offer their
employees a proper career structure which is so important in this
rapidly increasing industry."
