Boston Acoustics comes into its own with a new UK operation (3/4/2006)

Boston Acoustics, a leading manufacturer of loudspeakers and home entertainment systems, will be taking direct control of all its UK operations from April 3rd 2006. This follows the formation of Boston Acoustics Europe by parent company D&M Holdings. All sales, marketing, technical support and after-sales in the UK will now be directly handled by Boston Acoustics from the D&M UK headquarters in Longford, Middlesex.

As part of this initiative, Boston Acoustics has introduced a dedicated sales desk, and a new sales manager, Steven Price. Steven joins from Maxview, the UK's leading manufacturer of mobile broadcast, reception and telecom products.

Boston Acoustics UK will make full use of parent company D&M's established and comprehensive sales structure, product distribution channels and back-office integration. Consequently, Boston Acoustics will deliver unparalleled technical and application support, both to reseller partners and end users.

Although known primarily as a premium loudspeaker brand, Boston Acoustics also has extensive audio automotive system interests and a strong portfolio of audio electronics. The focus of the new company will be Boston Acoustics' exceptional new tabletop radios and class-leading in-car components.

Commenting, Clive Hudson, Boston Acoustics' managing director for Europe, said: "With our exceptional product portfolio, which now has the full weight of D&M behind it, we expect great success for Boston Acoustics."
