Picture Pure Style and Pure Performance with Pioneer's
Stunning New 2006 Plasma TV Line (15/3/2006)
Pioneer, the brand that has established an
iconic reputation for the superior performance of its plasma TVs,
has announced the launch of two new state-of-the art 'Pure Vision
Black' 43-inch 'HD-ready' plasma models - the PDP-436RXE and the
PDP-436SXE. The new TVs retain the slim graceful looks that exude
'Pioneer quality' while integrating video processing, TV tuner and
speaker functions: it's a design that perfectly fuses elegance with
performance.
The aesthetic beauty of the displays emanates
from their clean lines with subtly rounded corners, sleek profile
and black glossy finish: an impressive, contemporary style statement
that complements any room. The more so when they're switched on;
the screens are built around the key technologies that secured Pioneer
the EISA award for European Plasma TV of the Year in 2005.1
A key feature is the PUREBLACK panel - the
perfect way to reproduce the full colour palette. The panel includes
an innovation unique to Pioneer that enhances colour discharge within
the plasma cells. It's a breakthrough that delivers the purest colours,
exceptional contrast and the deepest darkest blacks. The result?
Every nuance of every shot is captured in immaculate detail - just
as the director intended. The screens' performance is also advanced
by complete digital processing while a further development is the
inclusion of a special filter within the front of the panel. This
eradicates reflections from external light (and the panel itself)
to radically advance levels of contrast - even in bright environments.
The net effect of these technologies is to deliver a totally clean
lifelike viewing experience.
'We've complemented Pioneer's exceptional
picture performance with a design that integrates our extensive
multimedia receiver functions and the high-fidelity speaker within
the panel. And we've achieved this without compromising the classic,
graceful form of Pioneer's traditional plasma TV design that by
its looks alone makes it clear that this is a quality product. With
their EISA* award-winning technology the new models add exceptional
performance to style to make an elegant solution for those seeking
the purest-viewing experience,' observes Jim Catcheside, Product
Management & Technology, Home Entertainment Division, Pioneer GB
Limited
Pioneer has won EISA's coveted European Plasma
TV of the Year award for the past two years. And this time around
the citation read:
'For the second consecutive year Pioneer
has proved itself the best of the best in Plasma TV. The Pioneer
PDP-506XDE combines myriad innovations to set a new standard for
plasma picture quality. Its sixth generation 'PUREBLACK' panel increases
luminance efficiency, and decreases unwanted light output, yielding
increased sharpness and contrast while reducing overall energy consumption.
'New PURE Drive 2HD circuitry generates deeper
blacks without sacrificing detail, and a PAL-specific Multi-step
3D Y/C Filter drastically improves analogue tuner-performance.'
Audio features
As well as the displays superlative picture
quality, the integrated speakers have been developed in accordance
with the design concepts of Pioneer hi-fi audio components; so they
provide high fidelity performance that's an integral element of
the pure entertainment experience.
HD-ready and optimal connectivity
The new TVs accept both industry standard
'High Definition' video broadcasts (1080i and 720p) - perfect for
watching HDTV broadcasts and the latest high definition movies.
They also provide HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface).
Model options
The Pure Vision Black model line up comprises
the PDP-436RXE and the PDP-436SXE. Both models include an analogue
TV tuner with exclusive Pioneer technologies that enhance image
quality and the HDMI interface. So digital sources can be hooked
up directly to the displays via the HDMI interface, or an HDMI switching
AV receiver, to add immersive surround sound to the sensational
visual experience.
The PDP-436SXE complements its analogue tuner
with a high-quality DVB-T compliant digital terrestrial TV tuner
for Free-to-Air digital terrestrial broadcast reception while an
optical digital audio output (Dolby Digital compliant) enables digital
sound from digital broadcasts to be transferred to external AV components.
A high-quality remote control with a clean uncluttered design provides
stylish command over all of the TVs' main functions.
Installation
Installation options include standard and
angled wall-mounted brackets, two floor stands and a swivel table-top
and, a fixed table-top stand.
