Tannoy Launches Two Entry Level Home Theatre Packages (2/3/2006)

The new Tannoy HTS systems offer terrific value hassle-free home theatre. Two straight-forward options, each providing outstanding performance and appeal, make it easy for consumers to choose which system suits them best!

Slim and stylish, the cherry finish, contoured wooden cabinets of the Tannoy HTS models are designed to blend unobtrusively with contemporary dŽcor. Yet these compact 5.1 home theatre systems still have what it takes to deliver class-leading performance.

HTS100:
The HTS 100 is an exceptionally compact wall or shelf mount (subsat) system ideal for smaller spaces. The satellites utilise a 75m (3") mid bass driver and a 19mm (3/") Tannoy WideBandª extended bandwidth high frequency unit delivering a frequency range from 100Hz to 40kHz. Integrating superbly with the twin-driver centre channel and 100 Watt active subwoofer, the HTS100 system provides a convincing, high-energy movie experience.

HTS200:
For consumers looking for a compact system that is ideal for movies and music too, Tannoy recommends the HTS 200. This package would definitely be the natural choice for larger rooms, where the fuller acoustic benefits of the floor standing tower speakers across the front soundstage will be appreciated. Utilising a twin 75m (3") mid bass and 19mm (3/") wide bandwidth high frequency driver array in a front ported ultra slim cabinet design certainly packs an extra punch.

Partnered with the centre channel and down-firing active subwoofer the complete system delivers accurate and dynamic mid and high frequency combined with rich and powerful bass. This clean and natural acoustic balance ensures that movie soundtracks are delivered with scale and impact while the musical agility, subtlety and detail accuracy essential for the accurate reproduction of audio recordings are satisfyingly presented.

The system packages include wall mount brackets for the satellite speakers, a centre speaker stand, cable and installation accessories. Optional floor stands are available for the satellite speakers. The tower speaker base platforms are supplied with floor coupling spikes and metal cups to protect polished floor surfaces.
