Bluedelta Design launches new 'Milestone' Video over Cat5 system (28/2/2006)

Bluedelta, the Award winning design and manufacturer of AV accessories has launched an ingenious system for distribution of video over Cat5 cable.

The MILESTONE system enables you to install CAT5 cable around the home, hotel, office or pub and get superior digital output signals from your topbox or DVD anywhere in the property with each remote location having the ability to change channel back at source via your existing remote control. The system boasts a range of over 1500 mtrs and due to its modular design can operate from one to five hundred remote TVs from a single location.

Bluedelta has also produced a Milestone version of their Smart Scart +; an automatic priority scart switch, so you can have your Top box, DVD, VCR plus a Games console all plugged into it and the smart scart works out which device you are currently using then blanks the other inputs to stop any interference. The smart scart also has an integral record loop so that you can watch a DVD or play a video game while recording from your topbox.

The system is sold in kits starting as a simple point to point for £99.99, a typical multi-room home system includes a 4 way hub, 4 slave units and a Milestone smart scart for £299.99. Optional extras include Phono display adaptors for LCD and Plasma displays, source adapters for games consoles or cameras which don't provide an activity signal for scart and a daisy chain option for pre-wired installations.
