Mitsubishi Makes a Big Impression (27/2/2006)
Mitsubishi's stand at ISE 2006 was hard
to miss - in all senses on the word! The impressive size of the
stand itself was matched by the quality of the display products
on show. DLP(tm) cubes being featured include the latest arrivals,
the VS-50PH and VS-67PH. At 50" and 67" respectively, both offer
true SXGA+ resolution (1400 x 1050) and fantastic performance thanks
to their use of the latest 0.95" Darkchip(tm) DLP technology. Ultra
short, distortion-free optics and compact footprint makes these
displays ideal for command and control applications. Digital Colour
Space Control, dynamic brightness adjustment and Natural Colour
Matrix ensure superior colour reproduction and consistent, high-quality
performance in multi-screen installations. SmartLamp(tm) and SmartColourwheel(tm)
features, together with the exclusive lamp changer, help to ensure
robust and reliable performance in 24/7 monitoring applications.
Mitsubishi's new MDT LCD display range also
featured prominently, including the MDT321S 32" - the latest addition
to the range HD-compatible LCD panels. Designed especially for public
display, retail and control room applications, the MDT family now
consists of three products ranging from 32" to 46", all offering
native 1366 x 768 (WXGA) resolution and Mitsubishi's Natural Colour
Matrix(tm) for superb clarity and colour rendition. Adjacent to
the main stand, a dedicated home cinema area featured the latest
HC3000 Home Cinema projector. Native 1280 x 768 (WXGA) resolution
combined with 1000 ANSI-Lumen output, 4000:1 contrast and an ultra-quiet
fan, has helped establish HC3000 at the top-end of the Home Cinema
sector. Based on Texas Instruments' Darkchip(tm) DLP technology,
HC3000 can display 720p HDTV, EDTV, SDTV and data.
Along with showing the latest hardware, developing
strong business partnerships was a central theme of Mitsubishi's
presence at ISE 2006. Mitsubishi used the ISE show as the platform
to promote its new Display Engineering concept aimed at doing just
that. Display Engineering is a Europe-wide initiative, enabling
Mitsubishi's considerable engineering and product resources to be
effectively deployed to support the activities of AV professionals
across the region.
"Focusing our efforts on supporting our SI
partners in their activities is very much the core idea behind the
Display Engineering concept," says Ralph Shephard, European marketing
manager for Mitsubishi Visual Information Systems. "Delivering the
latest technology and engineering support is - of course - part
of that. But going further, we very much see our role as supporting
the business activities of our partners as well."
