JVC Introduces LT-32A61 and LT-26A61 "HD Ready" LCD TVs (27/2/2006)

A distinctive difference between these models and other LCD TVs in their class is the "HD ready" logo, which designates the LT-32A61 and LT-26A61 as fully compliant with the "HD ready" Minimum Requirements set forth by EICTA (European Information & Communications Technology Industry Association). In addition to "HD ready" specifications, these LCD TVs feature a W-XGA (1366 x 768) panel to ensure crisp, clear, and highly detailed picture quality. "HD ready" means ready for viewing enjoyment

In order to clarify which models are capable of displaying HD broadcasting content, the European Information & Communications Technology Industry Association (EICTA), made an official announcement concerning the conditions and requirements of HD diplay devices that can be designated as "HD ready" on January 19, 2005. JVC enthusiastically welcomes this transition to HD broadcasting and the initiative enacted by EICTA, which is why we are introducing "HD ready" models such as the LT-32A61 and LT-26A61. These wide aspect ratio models are capable of displaying a minimum of 720 physical lines in native resolution. They are also equipped with both component (analogue Y, Pb, Pr) and DVI inputs, which are compatible with 1080i/50Hz, 1080i/60Hz, 720p/50Hz, and 720p/60Hz signals.

DVI Input

DVI (digital video interface) input for TVs is a connector that transfers high-definition video signals from digital devices with HDMI or DVI output. An optional HDMI to DVI or DVI to DVI cable is required for signal transfer.

W-XGA Panel

To properly display high-resolution pictures of HD broadcasting, the LT-32A61 and LT-26A61 feature a W-XGA panel with 1,366-dot (horizontal) x 768-dot (vertical) pixels.

Digital Comb Filter for PAL Signals

The LT-32A61 and LT-26A61 feature a digital comb filter for PAL and 3D comb filter for NTSC signals. The digital comb filter clearly separates combined colour and black & white signals, preventing smudging and picture jaggies to ensure clear details.

6 Aspect Modes

Aspect mode switching is possible with the LT-32A61 and LT-26A61. Six modes are available: regular, panoramic, 14:9, 16:9, 16:9 with subtitle, and full.
