Crestron opens office in the North of England (23/2/2006)

Following significant business growth across the UK, Crestron has opened a new office in the North of England. Located in Yorkshire, the office provides a geographically convenient sales support and training base for the company's commercial and residential dealers in the region.

Situated on the new £80m Robin Hood Airport Business Park in Doncaster (providing convenient air travel from London, Scotland and Ireland) Crestron North will deliver technical support, dedicated training facilities to ensure Northern customers continue to receive the best possible service from the company. Announcing the move, Robin Van Meewen, UK Managing Director, Crestron, explained: "We have experienced significant growth in the last few years, and not just in the South of England. We felt it necessary to support our growing customer base by creating a permanent site serving the North of England, Ireland and Scotland. This new facility in Doncaster is a great step forward and is testament to the fact that we are a truly national concern."

Crestron North is headed up by Sean Cleary, who has been at the forefront of developing Crestron's expanding customer base in the area over the past 24 months. Sean has considerable expertise supporting dealers in the region and is fully conversant with the company's full product range. Adding his comments, Sean Cleary, Crestron's Northern Regional Manager continued: "This locality is a vibrant area, rich with potential in both commercial AV and residential development. Our partnership approach to new business is proving a refreshing change in the region and I am very excited about transforming the control and automation market here. I am delighted that with the benefit of this new Regional Office, I am now able to bring the full strength of Crestron's world-leading presence to Donacaster. "

The new Northern office offers the full range of Crestron training courses, from system design to programming and installation. Full technical support is also provided from the Doncaster premises by Chris Jay who joined the company in June 2005 with a proven installation background.
