Picture House Launches New Napoli Marble Patent Pending
Plasma Fireplace at Smart Home Show NEC Birmingham 2 to 5 March,
2006, on stand 2420 (20/2/2006)
- An innovative, space-saving way of hiding
the plasma or LCD TV
Visit the Picture House stand no. 2420 at
the Smart Home Show at NEC Birmingham from 2 to 4 March for a demonstration
of the new "Napoli" patent pending marble plasma fireplace
from Picture House. The plasma TV is hidden away in an elegant marble
fireplace. When you want to watch TV, all you do is press the remote
and the TV automatically lifts out of the fireplace to viewing height.
When the programme has finished, simply press the remote again and
the TV disappears inside the fireplace. No more messy wires and
cables! Now you see it, now you don't. Picture House won a silver
award at the British Invention Show for its plasma fireplace concept.
The Napoli is a fully working fireplace.
It has a classic style with a modern look. This marble fireplace
has space for your DVD and cable box and includes an exclusive Faber
electric fire. This beautifully profiled marble centrepiece is Picture
House's flagship product and outputs 2kW of heat. The striking lines
of the 'Napoli' make this piece a true modern classic. The price
is in the region of £5,000.
On the stand will also be other models in
the "Firelight" series including the Classic - a timeless,
classic, elegant fireplace (the price is in the region of £3,400),
the Award-winning "Beachcomber" which costs in the region
of £2,100 and the "Firelight Modern", available with the
option of pebbles, lava rock or driftwood. The Modern is remote
controlled, which means you can dim the light, turn on the heat,
adjust the heat, switch the fire on and off from the comfort of
your armchair. It also has built in downlighters which change colour
- this means you can adjust the lights according to your décor
or mood. It has space to conceal all your equipment in the lower
section of the fireplace. The price is in the region of £3,600 (the
option for central control of hidden equipment and multi-colour
downlighters is extra.) David Free, inventor of the Firelight series
of plasma fireplaces, who presents "The Great British Woodshop"
TV programme on Discovery Real Time, says: "People tend to
put the plasma TV in the middle of the wall which means it dominates
the room and takes up space." So he came up with the idea of
fireplaces and cabinets that conceal the plasma TV and wiring. "The
'Firelight' series is a revolutionary new concept in home cinema
design - a way of disguising the plasma TV as well as having a stylish,
fully working fireplace at the same time," he says.
The plasma TV fireplace is protected under
Patent (0502603.4) Pending.
