UNO-TS2D makes it more convenient to enjoy music and videos throughout the house

Russound, a leading multiroom audio-video system manufacturer, today unveiled a Color Desktop Touchscreen that gives homeowners convenient control of music and videos from favorite spots throughout their house.

The UNO-TS2D Desktop Color Touchscreen is a simple-to-use interface that sits on a bedside table, kitchen counter, desk, or wherever it's convenient, providing complete control of a multiroom entertainment system. Based on Russound's award-winning wall-mounted UNO-TS2 Color Touchscreen, the desktop model is designed to give homeowners greater flexibility in how they enjoy their listening and viewing experiences. Scheduled to ship the first quarter of 2006, the UNO-TS2D will be available in a choice of black or white for a U.S. MAP of $1,499.

When used in a Russound RNET(r) system, the UNO-TS2D provides valuable two-way communication. Engineered from the ground up by Russound, RNET technology employs sophisticated metadata handling to bring new levels of intelligence to multiroom audio-video systems. The result is dramatically enhanced usability and simplified installation. Information such as playlist, channel name, artist name, and song title display on screen. And it supports custom presets, music themes and source names for a personal touch. The Desktop uses a mix of hard buttons for the most frequent commands and graphical soft keys for content-related functions, and connects with standard CAT-5 wire. A high-resolution LCD panel is easy to read and displays the system's status in real time, including the source playing, the selected AM/FM station, XM/SIRIUS channel, and the volume level in the zone it's controlling.
