Create and Recall Lighting Scenes at the Touch of a Button with Lutron's Spacer System Infrared Preset Lighting Control (31/1/2006)

Simple to install and operate, the Spacer System infrared preset lighting control from Lutron Electronics lets homeowners create and recall various lighting "scenes," or moods, in any room of the home. In any space where lighting needs change frequently -- family rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms -- Spacer System offers convenient lighting control from a hand-held remote or a wall-mounted master control.

The simplicity of Spacer System begins with installation; simply replace existing switches or dimmers with the infrared Spacer System dimmers and then add the remote controls.

Spacer System gives homeowners the flexibility of controlling lights from the comfort and convenience of the sofa, a favorite chair, or even from bed.

Programming Spacer System is as simple as programming a car radio. Homeowners can set and recall four lighting moods, or scenes, or one "Favorite Scene," such as "movie." To program the system, simply set the desired light level for each dimmer and press and hold a scene button on the remote or wall-mounted master control. The next time that scene button is pressed, the lights will automatically adjust themselves to the preset levels.

For even greater convenience, Lutron offers the Spacer System lamp dimmer, which provides remote control of any table or floor lamp. Lamps can be part of the system's lighting scenes, or can be controlled individually.

To install a Spacer System lamp dimmer, simply plug the lamp into the dimmer and then plug the dimmer into the electrical outlet. To adjust the slight, simply aim the remote at the dimmer.

Spacer System dimmers can also be controlled from learnable remote controls.
