Sony showcases latest innovations at Integrated Systems

Exhibition sees the launch of a new category
of desktop photofinishing solution, an enhanced entry-level projector
and an intelligent IP-based surveillance camera
Sony has significantly increased its support
in terms of its sponsorship of, and presence at, one of Europe's
major integrated technology events, Integrated Systems Europe. At
the exhibition that will take place in Brussels, Belgium between
the 1st and 3rd of February 2006 will see Sony, a platinum sponsor
of the ISE event showcase a number of new products that comprehensively
bridge the audiovisual and information technology divide.
The Sony stand (Hall 6, Stand 31) will feature
a number of flagship demonstrations or 'Experiences' designed to
bring to life the strength and ease of integration afforded by Sony's
end-to-end audiovisual and IT product portfolio.
A showcase 'Like.No.Other'
At ISE 2006, the company will also demonstrate
a range of display screens; workstations and laptops; projectors;
network video monitoring and video conferencing systems that highlight
the true benefits of convergence and Sony's role in driving development
of Internet Protocol-based electronic devices. Among the Sony highlights
will be:
* Sony SnapLab: A sneak preview of a brand
new category of desktop digital photofinishing solution aimed at
retailers that do not want to acquire a digital kiosk or minilab
photofinishing solution.
* Sony SNC-CS50P intelligent IP-based surveillance
camera: The first Sony camera that can detect motion and unattended
objects across a wide variety of monitoring applications. When integrated
with Sony's monitoring and management application, RealShot Manager,
the Sony SNC-CS50P delivers a range of intelligent security applications.
* Sony ES-3 front projector: Sony's brightest
ever entry-level (2000 ANSI lumens) business projector aimed at
educational, business and home markets.
* Sony PCS-VMS Video Management Suite: The
new scheduling and management software suite for Sony videoconference
systems and Radvision infrastructure products.
Ian Collis, Vice President of Sony Europe,

Home Experience - Sony VPL-VW100 High Definition
SXRD home cinema projector
As part of its Home Experience, Sony will
showcase the VPL-VW100, an HD-resolution (1920 x 1080) SXRD( projector
with a 15,000:1 contrast ratio designed for home cinema enthusiasts.
The projector uses the most advanced technology available to produce
clear, sharp and natural images, and incorporates versatile features
with a sleek white design. It also offers Sony's highest ever contrast
ratio with its Advanced Iris System, which controls the shutter
aperture. This permits contrast ratios of up to 15,000:1; producing
white that is brighter in the bright scenes and black which is deeper
in the dark scenes.
Small Office / Home Office Experience - Sony
PCS-TL50P and PCS-TL30P Desktop videoconference systems
Where videoconference traditionally was confined
to boardrooms and meeting rooms, it has now become an indispensable
business tool for small offices and home offices as well. Sony's
desktop systems provide an "all-in-one" solution; it is a PC display
screen, video monitor for business TV and built-in videoconference
system. Its innovative design helps maximise desk space.
Security Experience - Sony SNC-CS50P intelligent
IP-based surveillance camera
The Security Experience will spotlight the
new Sony SNC-CS50P - an intelligent Internet Protocol (IP) based
network camera that can detect unattended items (such as identifying
left luggage as a potential security breach) and human movement
with its Intelligent Motion Detection and Intelligent Object Detection
capabilities. It is the first in a new generation of Sony camera
that carries out the image processing inside the camera and is designed
to support an enhanced information flow to security and monitoring
personnel.
