NEC launches plasma TV for the Home Entertainment market (30/12/2005)

NEC today launched the latest product in its PlasmaSync(tm) residential range, the T1000 plasma TV. The T1000 is NEC's first plasma screen to include an integrated tuner. The addition of the plasma TV strengthens NEC's portfolio of high-quality consumer displays and will enable it to take its award winning display technology to a wider audience.

The T1000 is designed with consumers in mind - with a stylish gloss black frame, sleek silver border. The 42" screen offers W-VGA, sharp, vivid picture quality and is HD compatible. It offers superior SCART connectivity ensuring that the plasma TV is set up for DVD, gaming and TV. Packaged at a price of £1425, the NEC T1000 is an affordable luxury for the broad consumer market.

The T1000 will be distributed through NEC's existing channel and will be available from December 2005.
