Gefen Releases HDTV Switchers with Full Audio Support for Home Cinemas and HD Environments (16/12/2005)

Gefen brings to IS Europe a full selection of high definition audio/video switchers for linking two or more HD sources to a display equipped with just one input. The slim, efficient units act as the interface between two, three, four or six sources, such as satellite television systems, DVD players, and digital video recorders, and a single HDTV display.

Ideal for eliminating the need to unplug and replug different devices to accommodate a HDTV with one HDMI input, GefenŐs HDMI Switchers are easily controlled by the IR remote provided with each switcher. RS-232 control is also provided.

Available in several models, including 2x1, 3x1, 4x1 and 6x2 versions, Gefen's HDMI Switchers come equipped with HDMI inputs to connect sources to a single-input display. The 6x2 model provides a second output for driving two displays or a display and projector at the same time.

When combined with an optional adapter, HD video distributed by DVI sources and displays can be easily integrated into the system.

Beginning with the 4x1 HDMI Switcher, Gefen is providing two color options: traditional blue and silver, and an all-black version to better blend with room aesthetics.
