PureLink Solutions from Asheridge can Boost HDTV
Sales for Retailers (1/12/2005)
Asheridge Communications, the specialist
provider of audio visual solutions to retailers, shopfitters and
specialist contractors, has launched its exclusive range of PureLink(tm)
high-definition television (HDTV) display and distribution components.
The PureLink range is specifically aimed at electrical retailers
seeking to capitalise on the fast-growing HDTV market, allowing
them to show multiple high-definition pictures on display TV's from
just one source.
Asheridge has introduced a key innovation
for effective retailing of HD goods with its easy to install PureLink
range of Digital Visual Interface (DVI) Link distribution amplifiers.
These enable the splitting of one DVI source to serve up to 5 DVI
displays, without any signal loss or digital noise. This product
provides a perfect low-cost solution for retail outlets demonstrating
multiple HDTV's, where otherwise they would require a separate HD
signal for each HDTV on display, or risk showing HDTV's to potential
buyers without a High Definition picture.
"How can retailers expect to sell an 'HD-ready'
television if it is not showing an HD picture?" asks Jonathan Rigby,
Sales and Marketing Director of Asheridge. "These PureLink amplifiers
solve that problem quickly and easily, allowing them to show more
HDTV sets on the retail floor with an HD picture for less cost".
Alongside this important development, Asheridge
provides a choice in Pure Link fibre optic cable systems capable
of extending an HDTV signal for display on TV's up to 1,500m away
from the source. Ideal for large department stores or electrical
multiples, these systems deliver the signal without any noise interference,
and are designed for use with the DVI Distribution Link Amplifiers
for maximum benefit. For smaller scale retail outlets, DVI/HDMI
copper extenders are available to fulfil a similar function for
lengths up to 30 metres.
Also included in Asheridge's PureLink range
are a series of Digital Visual Interface (DVI) and High Definition
Multimedia Interface (HDMI) switchers. These allow 2 or 4 HDMI or
DVI video sources to share one video display, providing easy switching
between sources. The range also boasts DVI converters, ideal for
connecting a VGA output to feed retail digital displays.
