CEDIA Commits to Idustry Growth with New Team Appointments (1/12/2005)

CEDIA has announced three new appointments to its head office, further underlining the Association's ongoing commitment to maintain high standards of service for its fast-growing membership. Peter Aylett joins as Education Manager, Matt Nimmons is the new Operations Manager and Liane Haynes has been appointed Office Administrator.

Peter Aylett brings a wealth of industry experience to his new role. His aim is to take the CEDIA education and certification programs to new heights, ensuring that CEDIA maintains high standards of training and delivery on all courses. Peter comes from a long established CI background, having worked at Grahams Hi Fi for six years, and at SMC as a programmer and IT specialist, before setting up his own consultancy, Networks Control. In the last few years, Peter has become actively involved as a CEDIA presenter, most recently as a Dean for the Home Networking courses at CEDIA Expo.

Industry insider Matt Nimmons joins CEDIA from British loudspeaker manufacturer, Mission, where he was Marketing Manager for three years. Bringing plenty of marketing and organisational experience to the Association, Matt's primary responsibilities will be co-ordinating CEDIA Expo and promotional activities. He will also provide essential back-up to CEDIA's Operations Director, Wendy Griffiths.

Liane Haynes is CEDIA's new Office Administrator and is the first point of contact on the phone for those calling the CEDIA office. Liane will also be supporting Lisa Stagg with her membership role, dealing with members on a day to day basis and carrying out all general administrative responsibilities in the office.

"These are all growth steps for CEDIA" say Wendy Griffiths, Operations Director. "Taking on a new Education Manager, Operations Manager and Office Administrator will enable us to deal efficiently with member enquiries, organise more CEDIA events and training, continue to grow the CEDIA Expo and ensure an all round better service for members".
