Epson launches new EMP-TW20 entry-level projector designed especially for the home (23/11/2005)

The EMP-TW20 uses Epson's innovative projector technologies to bring a high-quality home cinema experience into your living room at an affordable price.

Epson is bringing home cinema to everyone with the launch of the EMP-TW20 a new entry-level projector designed especially for the home. Featuring a true 16:9 aspect ratio you can watch your favourite movies, play your games console and enjoy all the latest sporting action on the big screen. Offering 1200 ANSI lumens, the EMP-TW20 is the brightest home cinema projector in its category and ensures you can enjoy the big screen in a wide range of lighting conditions. A high contrast ratio of 1000:1 means that image quality is bright, clear and vibrant. All of these features are packed into a neat and stylish design that will look great in your home.

You don't need a big room to have a big screen. The EMP-TW20 will project a 60" screen from just 1.5 metres. The lens will shift both up, down, left and right, helping you to find the perfect position for your image.

The EMP-TW20 features Epson's innovative Cinema Filter, ensuring that you can benefit from a high quality image whatever the ambiance of your room, for example, you can enjoy a bright image in a light room and optimum contrast in a dark room. The Epson Cinema Filter also faithfully reproduces a wide range of colours. Six different Colour Modes will automatically adjust the brightness and contrast levels, ranging from 'Living Room' for light rooms to 'Theatre Black 2' for very dark rooms.

Image quality is further improved with the introduction of Progressive Conversion Technology. It will eliminate any 'flickering' that may occur when viewing subtitles or wide screen frames. You can now be sure that nothing will distract you from the action on your big screen.

There are now practically no limits to what you can watch on the big screen, the EMP-TW20 connects to a wide range of sources, from your DVD player, TV tuner, PC to games console, even to your digital camera. You can watch sports from the comfort of your favourite armchair, films without going to the cinema, or even slideshows of your digital photographs.

Stuart Davis, Business Manager for Epson UK, says: "The new EMP-TW20 will enable Epson to further strengthen its success in the home cinema market. This product is not only feature packed, it offers customers great value for money. Home cinema is no longer limited to the rich and famous. Epson's offering demonstrates its accessibility for all."
