Epson introduces the EMP-TW520 HD ready projector (23/11/2005)

The EMP-TW520 is a premium quality home cinema projector. It is HD ready and will deliver a crisp, clear image.

The Epson EMP-TW520 is a premium home cinema projector, ideal for the enthusiast who demands the best. The 3LCD projector features a W-XGA resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) and HDMI input, ensuring it is able to accurately display High Definition content1. Image quality (contrast ratio of 4000:1 and brightness of 1400 ANSI lumens) is one of the best in its class, thanks to the pioneering projector technologies developed exclusively by Epson. The EMP-TW520 is also handsomely designed with a fresh, sleek finish ensuring it adds style and quality to your home.

The innovative Epson Cinema Filter ensures you can benefit from a high-quality image whatever the ambiance of your room, for example, you can enjoy a bright image in a light room and optimum contrast in a dark room. The Epson Cinema Filter also faithfully reproduces a wide range of colours. There are also seven colour modes with the EMP-TW520, ensuring you can select the mode that best suits your needs. For example, you can choose Dynamic mode for light rooms or Theatre Black for a darker environment.

The high contrast ratio of 4000:1 is possible due to the inclusion of an Epson Auto Iris Optical System which controls the intensity of light from the lamp. It also provides crisp and clear colours for bright scenes and fine grey scaling for darker scenes.

The EMP-TW520 is not limited to large rooms, a 60" screen size can be achieved from just 1.5m away. It also features horizontal and vertical lens shift which means that you can use your projector in any room, even those where you cannot position your projector centrally towards the screen. You can shift the lens 50% up and down, as well as 25% left and right, meaning that your EMP-TW520 can be placed in a range of positions, for example, off centre, on a high table, low table or shelf.

Stuart Davis, Business Manager for Epson UK, says, "The EMP-TW520 is a high-end projector that will appeal to those who always want the best in quality combined with price. It is HD-ready, ensuring it will handle images from digital TV. The images, which really need to be seen to be believed, are sharp, vibrant and so realistic that you almost feel you are in the movie with your favourite actors."
