LG Electronics Introduces the LP1 Series of LCD TVs (23/11/2005)

- An award winning all-in-one LCD TV model that boasts huge size and prestigious design

LG Electronics is consolidating its position as the world's top FPD(Flat Panel Display) maker by introducing the most up-to-date and largest (55-inch) commercialized LCD TV (LP1 series) to the European market.

The LP1 series was developed to satisfy the ever increasing demand for larger premium LCD TVs. Achieving this goal, the LP1 series offer the largest commercialized, 55-inch, LCD TV in the market and demonstrates the pinnacle of LGE's TV technology with its superior picture quality, stylish design and many other premium features. LGE is confident that LP1 LCD TVs can set the standard of a true premium LCD TV.

The jazzy style and cutting-edge technology of the LP1 series has already attracted the industry's attention by sweeping world renowned awards such as the CES Innovations Award and IF Design Award in 2005. LP1 has also been recognized for its superb quality by the renowned HiFi Test Magazine of Germany which selected LP1 as the best LCDTV among nine tested brands.

LP1 series realizes super-detailed HD resolution while offering the world's largest 178-degree optical viewing angle; vertically and horizontally. Meanwhile LGE's picture enhancement chip, XD-Engine, makes full use of the large screens by treating unstable analog signals to realize crystal clear pictures.

The X-studio function adds some extra fun by enabling users to enjoy digital photos on the high-resolution screen with the simple process of inserting a memory card into LGE's own 9-in-2 memory card slot.

For extra convenience LP1 series also features all input/output and terminals for extra compatibility and can also be used as a monitor as well as a digital TV.
