News Sony Introduces STR-DA7100ES Receiver for the Digital Age (23/11/2005) The Sony STR-DA7100ES is the perfect receiver for the digital age. It boasts the latest high performance S-Master Pro digital amplifier modules, in order to maintain the best possible sound quality. Sitting within Sony's ES range of Hifi components, known for its quality and performance, the DA7100ES doesn't disappoint. It is the perfect receiver to include in a home cinema installation as it boasts an impressive 7.1 channel surround sound system and has HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) and i.Link terminals for direct digital connection of both audio and visual sources. The DA7100ES also features a newly developed 32-bit DSP that operates at 200MHz, which is higher than the 120MHz master clock of the previous DSP available from Sony. It also boasts Dolby Digital EX, Dolby ProLogic IIx, DTS - ES Discrete, DTS-ES, DTS 96/24 and DTS Neo: 6. Despite being packed with features the DA7100ES is easy to use and HDMI or I-Link can be selected at the touch of a button. i.Link can also be assigned to a video input unlike previous models. The STR-DA7100ES is available now.
