The MAX introduces dealer rewards programme (21/11/2005)

Referred business has always been the best and most loyal business any company can win but few ever really do anything to encourage referrals. THE MAX has.

The MAX referral scheme is elegantly simple: any existing trade customer of the company referring another dealer not yet registered with THE MAX will receive a credit to the value of 10% of the first 2 orders placed. This credit is then available to off-set against any future purchases made from THE MAX.

As Chris Metalle at THE MAX puts it: "Many of our dealers are designers and installers who have built their business and reputations on the back of referrals so they are acutely aware of how valuable this source of new leads can be. We wanted to give them an easy-to-understand rewards programme that will make them think of us the next time they're chatting with other industry professionals."

THE MAX believes this is one of the first such schemes to be used in its market and was keen to ensure it provided real benefits to its dealers, not just gimmicks or useless free toys.

"We looked at several options which we'd seen other companies employ - chocolates for the other half, the chance to win one major prize and even free fridges! We plumped instead for the most straight-forward and uncontroversial system we could. That way there are no issues over who gets the reward, the company or the individual, and there is no head-scratching to try to work out whether it's worth the effort."

It's easy, no form-filling, no fuss - and THE MAX is hoping it will also be a winner for them.
