Universal Electronics Introduces Helix: IR Meets Z-Wave for Total Home Control (21/11/2005)

Universal Electronics (UEI) today announced the introduction of Helix(tm), the company's first Z-Wave enabled universal remote control. Helix delivers superior control over the home theater system, and together with Z-Wave technology built-in, now delivers complete home control as well. With four (4) modes for entertainment devices and one (1) for home control, consumers can operate their TV, VCR/DVD, CBL/SAT, Audio, as well as lighting and other Z-wave enabled products in the home. Highlighted features include UEI's world calss Infrared (IR) code library for superior device control; UEI's patented macro technology to perform favorite activities with the push of a button; ergonomic design for ease of use; and patented upgradeability for continued compatibility with new devices.
