Audio Analogue New Bellini Preamaplifer and Donizetti
Cento Power Amplifier (9/11/2005)
A new pre & power combination of style and
performance
Bellini Preamaplifer
Sitting at the top end of the renowned Composers
Series from Audio Analogue is the remarkable new version of the
Bellini preamplifier that provides a quantum leap for the technical
design of the range. Apart from for its elegant styling and value
for money, this latest version bears little resemblance to the previous
Bellini models. The main difference in the new Bellini is the inclusion
of an off-line Virtual Battery power supply. This is an advanced
version of the one found in the Aria phono preamplifier and ensures
no interaction with any mains disturbance that could effect the
delicate circuit. It also features a bypass mode (switchable via
the remoteÕs setup option) which enables the Bellini to work as
part of an external multichannel system. Complete with mm/mc phono
capability, the new Bellini is an extraordinarily refined sounding
and advanced designed preamp for the most discerning listeners who
require high performance at a more affordable price point.
Main features of the Bellini:
¥ Off-line Virtual Battery power supply ¥
Switchable line or phono input (mm/mc) ¥ Balanced XLR inputs/outputs
¥ Bypass system for multichannel integration ¥ Very high quality
audiophile components ¥ Stylish, high quality remote control unit
Donizetti Power Amplifier
The top of the range stereo power amplifier
in the Composers Series, the new Donizetti Cento is a newly designed
version of its popular predecessor. The Donizetti Cento - as its
name suggests (ÔcentoÕ being Italian for Ô100Õ) - offers 100 watts
of power per channel in a dual mono configuration. With a separate
power transformer for each channel the amp is clean sounding and
powerful, with excellent detail and grip which will drive any difficult
loudspeaker load. A crucial factor in the sound quality of the Donizetti
is the advanced circuit topology and the selection of high quality
audiophile components used Ð even the start-up delay circuit is
made with high quality discrete components. A trigger input on the
rear panel allows for the unitÕs operation and switch-off using
the connected preamplifier as an alternative to the usual mains
switch on the front panel. Also a trigger output allows other connected
equipment to be controlled by the Donizetti. Inputs are switchable
balanced XLR and PCA phono. These features all contribute to make
the Donizetti Cento both highly flexible, easy-to- use and a value
for money audiophile product.
Main features of the Donizetti Cento:
¥ 100 watts per channel ¥ Dual mono design
Ð separate transformers for each channel ¥ Advanced circuit topology
¥ Very high quality audiophile components ¥ Switchable balanced
XLR and RCA phono inputs
