Users of music rental services such as Napster-to-Go can now deliver their favourite sounds to anywhere in the house using the devolo MicroLink dLAN Audio adapter.

Music rental sites like Napster-to-Go allow songs to be downloaded to a single PC and then transferred to a compatible music player. For users who may want to listen to music anywhere in the house and not just in the study next to their PC, this limits their playing options.

With the MicroLink dLAN Audio adaptors, music can be sent over household electrical wiring to any room in the house, enabling users to link up their PC to a Hi-Fi or powered speakers and stream their music wherever they want it. Users simply plug their PC into a MicroLink dLAN adaptor and connect Hi-Fi or speakers into the MicroLink dLAN Audio wherever they want their music streaming to.

As the plug-and-play solution from devolo operates over existing electrical wiring, there is no need to drill holes or install additional cables, enabling users to stream MP3, WMA files and Internet radio into any room in their home which has a power socket.

The MicroLink dLAN Audio adaptor can be plugged into any domestic power socket and includes cinch, mini-jack and microphone sockets (analogue/ digital input/ output) for connecting Hi-Fi systems, loudspeakers and microphones, allowing users to play music through high-quality speakers and stereo systems rather than headphones or portable speakers.
