News SOMFY Systems Introduces New GLSTRYO Direct Drive Drapery Motor (4/11/2005) SOMFY Systems, Inc., the world leader in the design and manufacture of tubular motors and electronic controls for residential and commercial interior and exterior window covering markets is pleased to introduce the NEW Glystro(TM) Direct Drive Drapery Motor. This NEW motor is designed to automate drapery window coverings while offering a variety of control options. Glystro(TM) is available with built-in Radio Technology SOMFY(TM) (RTS) and compatible with all SOMFY RTS control options which include: Telis hand-held transmitter, Decora wireless wall switch, Chronis wireless timer and home automation interfaces. Powered by a 24 volt DC plug-in transformer, the Glystro(TM) is capable of traversing up to 70 lbs. of fabric on a 12 foot split draw track with the option of ceiling or wall mount brackets.
