The Touch Group Announces VoiceStick Putting VoIP in Your Pocket (2/11/2005)

- Award-Winning VoiceStick Makes Voice Over Internet Protocol Technology User-Friendly

From today, UK consumers will be able to get access to the latest and easiest Internet telephone technology (or VoIP) from Touch Group. The VoiceStick will allow any computer or phone to take advantage of low cost national and international calling charges. No other VoIP company offers this type of portable 'telephone' device, which allows users to carry this technology, previously bound by computer access, in their pocket.

VoiceStick is a USB memory stick that converts any computer or phone into a VoIP phone, whilst allowing users to store and retrieve personal data, music, pictures and presentations at the same time. Users can take their VoiceStick with them anywhere in the world and plug it into any computer where there is a broadband connection and instantly make unlimited telephone calls to 40 countries worldwide, for the cost of a UK local call. Alternatively VoiceStick can also allow any telephone, both landline and mobile, to make calls using VoIP. Users just need to call their VoiceStick number to be automatically connected to their Internet phone service before dialling the number they wish to call.

For a flat fee of GBP15 per month, users can use the service freely - whether it's calling relatives in Australia or business associates in the UK - and best of all, calls between VoiceStick users are completely free.

VoiceStick arrives in the UK through an exclusive partnership with Touch Local, the UK's second-largest online local search directory and part of Touch Group plc, and i2Telecom(R) International, Inc., a pioneer inultra-portable VoIP products and services.
