ICIA Becomes InfoComm International (31/10/2005)

New Name Capitalizes on Strength of Tradeshow Brand, Reflects Membership Composition

The International Communications Industries Association, Inc. (ICIA) today announced a name change. Effective immediately, the organization will be known as InfoComm International.

"Changing our name to InfoComm International leverages the association's tradeshow InfoComm brand name, which is well known throughout the world," said Randal A. Lemke, Ph.D., Executive Director. "We believe the name InfoComm Internationalâ provides better name recognition for prospective members, consolidates the usage of various brand names within the association, and better reflects the high-tech union between information technology and the audiovisual industry." InfoComm is currently the largest annual conference and exhibition for AV buyers and sellers worldwide. About InfoComm International (Previously known as ICIA)
