Wireworld Launches HDMI Compliance Labeling Program
(31/10/2005)
Initiative clearly specifies HD video capabilities
for every cable grade and length
Wireworld announced a new HDMI cable compliance
labeling initiative to custom installation professionals at the
CEDIA Expo here, today. Through this program, every model and length
of Wireworld HDMI cable is labeled according to its coverage of
HDMI group performance standards at either 1080i/720p or the more
demanding 1080p level for digital video signals.
"What we are doing here is to take the guesswork
out of digital video cable," commented Wireworld founder and president
David Salz. "1080p digital video is just around the corner, and
many custom installers are making sure that their clients' systems
are ready for it. With our up-front labeling, the installer or dealer
knows exactly what the model and length of cable they are installing
is capable of."
Wireworld's recently introduced Silver Starlight
52 HDMI cables are the industry's first cables that are compliant
with 1080p digital video standards at lengths of over 30 feet. For
1080i/720p video, the Silver Starlight 52 is fully compliant at
lengths of up to 80 feet, the longest in the industry. The cables'
superior length capability also means that they provide the lowest
jitter and highest image quality at shorter lengths.
All Wireworld HDMI cables will include the
new compliance labeling effective immediately.
