New Philips Pronto SBC-RU960 and ProntoPro SBC-RU990 Models soon to be available from AWE (31/10/2005)

AWE is delighted to announce that Philips Electronics latest models of the intelligent Pronto NG remote series will soon be available. Designed to integrate seamlessly into any home entertainment set-up, the new Pronto (SBC-RU960) and ProntoPro (SBC-RU990) benefit from sleek design combined with new higher-resolution touch screens and increased memory.

The Pronto series offers the installer infinite control possibilities and allows full customisable control of any home entertainment installation. "With the Pronto series, Philips is providing the installer with a comprehensive remote control solution for the majority of installations," says Stuart Tickle, MD of AWE. "It has many benefits for the installer and combines the latest remote technology with simple, customisable operation - a great package."

The series has an integral infrared (IR) code database of more than 800 brands on board and can learn additional codes directly or via upload. Full customisation is typically undertaken by an installer on a PC or laptop using the free and newly updated ProntoEdit software. This added value is an excellent profit opportunity for installers and AWE provides regular training for dealers at their HQ.

The optional RF unit provides users with the ability to control components located out of line-of-sight or in other rooms, and multiple units can be added allowing more complex multi-room operation. This RF technology has been improved with the new RF extender (SBC-LI910) having increased sensitivity to receiving Pronto commands whilst rejecting more interference than any other such device. The aerial can also now be sited remotely and an LED indicates any interference from other devices.
