Sony today launches a number of sleek new
VAIO notebooks and desktops. Whether you are looking for a VAIO
for the home, office, work or leisure, there is something in Sony's
new Autumn line-up for everyone.
For Business
The BX Series is the first of Sony's notebook
ranges to be designed entirely for business users. This professional
notebook is the perfect business partner, offering a wide variety
of configurations and screen options to meet all your business requirements.
The BX series has ensured jet-setters are not forgotten, in an instant
this becomes an ultra-portable unit for business trips by simply
removing the modular bay and replacing with a weight-saver. Other
functions include finger print recognition and security chip to
ensure your important data is always secure.
For Leisure
The VAIO FJ Series is the perfect portable
entertainment centre. This stylish and lightweight design makes
this a must-have for tech lovers who want a notebook for work and
play. With a 14.1 inch widescreen display and Sony's exclusive X-Black
screen technology, this is the perfect way to watch the latest DVDs.
The FJ Series includes a tiny digital camera, great for taking photos,
but also giving this machine the ability to instantly turn into
a video phone. Made for leisure, the FJ Series can share and edit
photos and videos, but also doubles up as a fast and powerful processor
for work based jobs.
For the Tech-Lover
The A500 series perfectly combines a machine
that is ideal for a mix of work and leisure. With a minimum of 80GB
of hard disk space, there is plenty of room for storing even the
largest photos and music collections, as well as plenty of space
to house all of those important work documents. The Sony X-Black
screen and X600 graphics processor is great for gaming and comes
with an entertainment docking station that offers multimedia capabilities
to rival many desktops. Incorporating a TV tuner, S-Master digital
amplifier and reflex-ported stereo speakers, this machine gives
a whole new dimension to music, films and games.
The FS-300 series has an ultra-slim and portable
design, offering a minimum of 80GB of hard disk space and weighs
just 2.9kg. With an entertainment docking station and X-Black screen,
like the A500 series this also offers the ultimate in viewing, DVDs
and gaming at a more affordable price. In addition to this, the
FS-300 series has two graphics options, allowing video-enthusiasts
to choose Sony's NVIDIA GeForce 6400 system with 128MB of dedicated
high-speed video memory.
For the Travelling Executive
The S5 series is the smallest and slimmest
of Sony's new VAIOs, making this the choice for those professional
users that require a mobile notebook. Weighing just 1.95kg, this
tiny and unique machine manages to pack in a whole wealth of features,
including a 13.3 inch screen that ensures this machine offers the
convenience of application workspace and performance capability
that is not usually associated with small-format portables. 120GB
of hard disk space means there is generous room for storing data,
while extended battery life and high-speed wireless networking make
this machine highly efficient.
For all the Family
The RC102 is a desktop that combines style
and state-of-the-art technology. For the home or the office, this
powerful machine allows the manipulation and editing of high definition
video and super audio CD - the very latest in technology. With a
network media receiver included as part of this impressive desktop
package, you can find and view the high definition video content
on your television. You can also access your PC music library via
the TV interface and with SonicStage Mastering Studio, audio enthusiasts
can gain high definition and surround sound characteristics, ideal
for studies. NVIDIA GeForce 6600 graphics make this perfect for
gaming, while the Pentium D processor offers huge speed advantages
over other desktops.
