Kinetics Noise Control Introduces the AUDIOASIS Theater
Room (13/10/2005)
Kinetics Noise Control introduces AUDIOASIS,
a totally new floating home theater room constructed of acoustically
sealed (tongue-and-groove) pulltruded sound-blocking planks. The
AUDIOASIS Theater Room is engineered to contain sounds from loud
action movies and to block external noise from furnace blowers,
people in adjoining rooms, etc. HVAC supply and return registers
are installed with in-line acoustical duct silencers.
Planks are used for both wall and ceiling
assemblies. The engineered plank system is designed to provide exceptionally
straight wall and ceiling surfaces that will prevent future drywall
nail pops and stress cracks. The structural integrity of the plank
system allows for the suspension of light or heavy projectors.
The vertical planking design provides concealed
wire chases for both line and low voltage wire runs. The AUDIOASIS
room planks are secured within an aluminum base and top extrusion
rail, which provides a floor-level wire chase around the entire
perimeter of the room.
The room interior features a monolithic one-piece
stretched ceiling fabric up to 16' wide and fabric-faced acoustical
wall panels with absorptive, diffusive, and reflective surfaces.
The room is finished with a select offering of factory standard
or custom millwork packages.
