Visitors to CEDIA Booth #51 Can Get Exclusive
Look at New Innovation in Digital Media Distribution and Home Automation
from Leader in Next-Generation Digital Home Systems
Alienware(R), an award-winning innovator
in digital home systems, will be at Booth #51 of CEDIA EXPO 2005
to give attendees an exclusive preview of a new digital home solution
that offers complete networked digital media distribution, as well
as automation of everything in the home from lighting and security
to pools and spas. Alienware's latest digital home innovation provides
multi-zone streaming of audio, video, and pictures and features
a convenient touch-screen remote control with two-way WiFi communication,
one-touch system control, fully configurable interface, and easy-to-use
drag-and-drop functionality.
Since becoming a Microsoft(R) media center
launch partner in 2002, Alienware has developed an award-winning
reputation for advancing digital home technology. Alienware's line
of DHS(TM) digital home systems have earned numerous awards and
praise throughout the industry from publications such as Home Theater
magazine, The New York Times, PC World, and CNET, which gave Alienware
the "Next Big Thing" award during CES 2005. Home Theater magazine
called Alienware's DHS 5 system "a well-built, cleverly designed,
and powerful PC that offers all of the options that both home theater
and computing buffs would expect."
The DHS 5 system delivers innovations like
drop-and-play gaming through DISCover(R) My Games(TM) technology
and up to .8 terabytes of integrated storage capacity, as well as
three TV tuners and support for HDTV. Featuring a blue-illuminated
InfoPanel(TM) display on the front exterior, the fully-integrated,
ultra-quiet DHS 5 gives users all the features of a DVD player,
CD player, DVR, VCR, high-performance PC, and other entertainment
devices in one system.
"Alienware's presence within the digital
home market began with being a launch partner with Microsoft, continued
with the groundbreaking arrival of DHS systems, and now expands
further with the introduction of a new digital home solution at
CEDIA EXPO," said Humberto Organvidez, Chief Technology Officer
of Alienware. "This solution simplifies users' lifestyles by utilizing
standard networking protocols to deliver home theater control, home
automation, and digital media distribution."
