Niles Unveils HD High Definition Loudspeakers for Powerful Home Theater Experience (3/10/2005)

New in-wall and ceiling loudspeaker elevates the home theater experience

Niles Audio Corporation, The First Name In Custom Installation(r), has announced the introduction of a new series of HD High Definition in-wall and ceiling mount loudspeakers. These new loudspeakers enable custom installation professionals to deliver powerful home theater experiences to their clients while preserving the artistic integrity of their decor. Designed to offer outstanding audio performance without compromising dˇcor, the HD High Definition line provides an elevated experience for home theater in a variety of home environments. Niles will display the HD High Definition loudspeaker products for the custom installation industry during the Custom Electronics Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) trade show in Indianapolis, Indiana from September 9 through 11.

The HD High Definition multi-channel loudspeaker family consists of the HDLCR and HDLCRBX left/center/right in-wall and bookshelf speakers, respectively; the HDFX in-wall adjustable surround speaker that balances direct radiating and diffuse field dispersion patterns; and the CM6HDFX ceiling mount surround speaker, intended for applications where in-wall surround speakers are not practical.

HD High Definition speaker products are outfitted with Niles' proprietary injection molded TCCTM (talc, carbon, and ceramic-filled) woofer cones (5 1/4" for HDLCR, HDLCRBX, and HDFX; 6 1/2" for CM6HDFX) that offer extreme rigidity to reduce breakup and lower distortion. They also feature tri-laminate Teteron dome tweeters that are fluid cooled to deliver ultra-wide dispersion to reproduce clear and detailed high frequencies.

The HD High Definition Loudspeaker Details:

* The HDLCR is a high definition Left/Center/Right channel in-wall speaker that features dual 5 1/4" injection molded TCCTM woofers, and 1" tri-laminate Teteron dome tweeters. * The HDLCRBX is a high definition Left/Center/Right channel bookshelf speaker that features dual 5 1/4" injection molded TCCTM woofers, and 1" tri-laminate Teteron dome tweeters. * The HDFX is an in-wall surround speaker that features dual 5 1/4" injection molded TCCTM woofers, 1" tri-laminate Teteron dome tweeters, and a baffle-mounted Effects Cut switch that adjusts the direct/diffuse sound field balance to provide realistic effects regardless of room size. * The CM6HDFX is a ceiling mount surround speaker intended for applications where in-wall surrounds are not practical. The product features 6 1/2" injection molded TCCTM woofers and 3/4" tri-laminate Teteron dome tweeters, and a baffle-mounted Effects Cut switch that adjusts the direct/diffuse sound field balance to provide realistic effects regardless of room size.
