T4 Home Theater Universal Controller Debuts
at CEDIA EXPO, Sets New Standard for Handheld Remotes
Remote Technologies Inc, the leading manufacturer
in home control products, unveiled its new flagship wireless touchpanel
for high-end entertainment systems at CEDIA EXPO 2005. The T4 Universal
Controller, debuting in RTI's Booth 1118, is the ideal handheld
control for users who want complete access to all of the functions
of home theaters and other multi-component audio/video systems.
The T4 uses a touch-sensitive, full VGA, active, color LCD that
provides full control over any size system with a graphics-based
interface that is intuitive enough for anyone to pick up and use.
The T4 will be exclusively to the custom installation dealers late
in the fourth quarter of 2005 with an MSRP of $2,499.00.
"The T4's is the perfect solution for a custom
installed home theater or board room," said Pete Baker, director
of worldwide sales at RTI. "The T4 incorporates a gorgeous 6.4"
Color Touchscreen with enough screen real estate to organize the
touchscreen, with great graphics, in a very intuitive format; without
limiting the functionality. And its ergonomics make it comfortable
for anyone to enjoy using, even for smaller hands."
All aspects of the T4 have been designed
to blend with the aesthetics of any home. Its open platform allows
total integration with even the most advanced audio/video components.
A 6.4" TFT LCD uses full VGA resolution to display motion JPEG video
with great detail, as well as custom buttons, graphics, and animations.
The controller's 400MHz, 32-bit processor is powerful enough to
simultaneously implement these processes smoothly and instantly.
RTI makes it easy to customize the T4 with its TheaterTouch Designer(tm)
software, which has become an industry revered platform for remote
programming.
In addition to limitless software customization,
the T4 provides outstanding hardware adaptability. The unit's front
and rear panels have replaceable color bezels to match surrounding
dˇcor, and users can change the color of the 13 keys or remove them
entirely.
The T4's flexibility extends beyond its appearance.
RTI's EM-4 Expansion Module allows it to be transformed into a hardwired
VESA mountable touchpanel with power-over-Ethernet and dual analog
video input ports. In addition, available RTI accessory devices
provide the T4 with power-sensing for reliable operation, and RS-232
communications for advanced control.
