RGB Communications forge new partnership with Kramer Electronics (3/10/2005)

RGB Communications are delighted to announce that they have reached agreement with Kramer Electronics to act as their trade distributor working alongside Kramer Electronics UK in the United Kingdom and Southern Ireland. RGB will also distribute the Sierra Video Systems ranges of high quality video and audio matrix switchers as part of this agreement.

This new partnership marks the end of a long and prosperous relationship with Extron Electronics, RGB's former signal distribution and management partners in the commercial and residential audio visual marketplaces.

"Extron have advised us that they wish to sell directly into the United Kingdom via their European operations based in Holland" commented RGB Chairman Gordon Innocent. "However Kramer have a genuine understanding of the role and the added value that is brought to bare by a technical distributor such as ourselves. Joining forces with Kramer puts us in a position to grow and develop our business in the UK with a manufacturer who wants to work in true partnership with us and our dealers".

"The combined sales, technical, support and training services of our two companies will ensure that A/V dealers have all the support they will need in growing their business in the UK - both commercial and residential".

The decision to switch to Kramer was based on a number of key factors. Both Kramer and Sierra are long established and well respected manufacturers with a proven track record of delivering reliable, high quality products since 1981 and 1984 respectively. Their commitment to quality is unrivalled, Sierra offering an unique seven (7) year warranty on the majority of their products, whilst Kramer have been awarded ISO - 9001 certification. The combined product ranges are very similar to that of Extron and are very competitively priced, representing good value for money. Product reliability is paramount - their failure rate is so low they only need to employ a part time repair engineer in the UK.

"Unlike many other announcements within our industry, this is not simply a paper launch", added RGB Communications Managing Director Caroline Britt. "We are completely prepared and ready to trade right now. Our sales and technical teams have all been trained. We have extensive sales, loan and demonstration stocks in place. We have updated all our demonstration and training rooms and facilities, including Rigsby. We have revised our training courses and schedules. Price lists, catalogues and leaflets are all available and we have updated our websites, including the dealer specific pricing database on the RGB On-Line Services site. We're ready to move forward with Kramer and Sierra and help grow our dealers' business".
