WeatherHawk Partners with AMX to Simplify Integration of WeatherHawk's Home Automation Weather Station into AMX Control Systems (16/9/2005)

WeatherHawk, a leader in weather instruments for consumer applications, today announced it partnered with AMX Corporation, a worldwide leader in advanced control technology, to introduce a version of the WeatherHawk home automation weather station that is compliant with AMX Dynamic Device Discovery technology.

Dynamic Device Discovery is designed to make it easier for dealers to integrate a wide range of devices with an AMX control system. When integrating a serial or IP device that supports Dynamic Device Discovery, such as WeatherHawk's home automation weather station, AMX's Duet(tm) software platform recognizes the device, loads the appropriate Duet module and installs the new device automatically, thereby reducing the amount of time it takes to design an AMX control system.

Management of the interior and exterior home environment in response to changes in the exterior micro-climate represents a whole new level of control for a homeowner. WeatherHawk with Duet Dynamic Device Discovery technology enables an installer to quickly implement a wide range of weather information related features into any AMX control system.

The popular WeatherHawk family of rugged weather stations for home automation applications is available in both directly connected and wireless versions. WeatherHawk also offers a complete range of hardware options that enable a home automation installer to easily adapt the WeatherHawk to virtually any site, data or input power requirement.
