Faraday Technology Ripple Eliminators Eliminate Hum
(4/9/2005)
Faraday Technology's Ripple Eliminators are
designed to remove low frequency interference from video signals
caused by differences in ground potential between circuits on different
power systems. When multiple power panels are used in a building,
different power loading by equipment and lighting causes small differences
in ground potential which induce ground loop current flow which
in turn create the 50Hz or 60Hz hum. Hum can also be created in
long cable runs by electromagnetically induced currents.
FRME IHB single channel and FRME 3HB triple
channel ripple eliminators remove both these types of hum.
They achieve up to 60dB of ripple reduction
per channel depending on cable length, cable type, ground loop potential,
and ground loop frequency.
FMRE's are broadcast quality products, and
can be inserted anywhere in the transmission systems, but are most
effective at or near the end of the cable run, should the hum problem
be particularly bad, a second ripple eliminator channel can be added
in series with negligible effect on the video signal.
