SIM2 Unveils the Revolutionary C3X 3-Chip DLP Projector (4/9/2005)

SIM2 is proud to unveil the world's smallest, lightest and most competitively priced 3-Chip DLP(tm) home cinema projector - the dazzling C3X. And as befits any projector with Italian pedigree it is undoubtedly the most beautiful. The C3X is roughly a third of the size, more than £10,000 less expensive, and 75% lighter than any of its competitors. Yet it still delivers a performance that is quite simply stunning!

Incorporating the very latest DC3 chipsets from Texas Instruments and reinforcing SIM2's position as the world leader in Digital Light Processing (DLP(tm)) technology, the C3X is packed full of groundbreaking proprietary engineering. Marking SIM2's tenth anniversary the C3X features no less than five registered patents, many of which are the culmination of the company's decade long search for home cinema perfection.

At the heart of the unit is SIM2's ingenious new ALPHA PATH(tm) light engine, developed in-house at the company's Venice-based research and development facility. This is coupled to three of the very latest T.I. HD2+ DarkChip(tm) 3 chipsets - the first time these DMDs have been used in a compact 3 chip DLP(tm) product. The result is a staggering 6500:1 contrast ratio, more than 40% higher than any similarly priced component. Equally impressive is the brightness level. The C3X, thanks to its Hi-Brite 250W lamp, is 25% brighter than any competitor in the market.

What's more the projector is ready for forthcoming high definition (HD) broadcasts, has effective lamp management for longer product lifetime, and a thermal management system to help keep fan noise to an absolute minimum.

All in all the Grand Cinema C3X can only be described as a true revolution in home cinema.

Available: September 2005.

Suggested retail price: from £10,999.00 (inc. VAT).
