Russound Launches New Online Education Program That
Gives Installers an Educated Advantage over the Competition (24/8/2005)
Self-Paced Courses Focus on Product Overviews,
Installation Tips, Key Features and More
Russound, the leader in multiroom audio/video
products for the residential market announced today the first part
of an advanced, online education program designed to provide installers
with thorough multiroom audio/video technical training.
Russound's Training Education and Certification
(TEC) Department has worked diligently to provide a comprehensive
and entertaining curriculum. TEC offers training seminars on-site
and off-site, as well as at numerous tradeshows yearly. With Russound's
online learning, industry professionals can now learn at their leisure,
anywhere they have computer access.
The education program will be promoted on
Russound's Web site and through course registration CDs available
at Russound distributors. The initial curriculum consists of three
courses featuring an overview of the Russound RNET two-way communication
technology and will focus on specific products utilizing the technology,
such as Russound's flagship controller/amplifier CAV6.6, SMS3 Media
Server and ST2 Smart Dual Tuners. Each course delivers useful and
practical information concerning system design, installation, setup
and operation. These courses will be available online beginning
August 16, 2005. They represent the first phase of a complete Russound
RNET certification program.
"Proper setup and programming can cut installation
time, enhance clients' experiences with whole house audio systems
and boost dealers' profits," said Russound TEC Specialist Matt DiPasquale.
"Education gives the installer an important edge in the face of
increasing technological advancements and competition in the multiroom
audio/video market."
Eventually, those who pass a monitored exam
will become Russound RNET Certified, meaning they have the expertise
to install and program Russound's most advanced systems. Future
topics will include sales techniques, automation integration, consumer-oriented
system operating tips and more. The online courses will increase
installers' knowledge and efficiency while giving them the tools
necessary to meet their client's needs.
In addition to a focus on product capabilities
and problem-free setup, courses will train installers to help customers
use Russound's systems and their manifold capabilities. Industry
watchers say customers who know how to fully use their multiroom
audio/video systems are more likely to enjoy them and recommend
similar systems to friends and family.
"Our success as a company depends on independent
installers and their customers having a consistently satisfying
experience with our products," said Russound TEC Program Manager
Joel Rosenblatt. "To achieve this, we need to help installers and
dealers understand how to install and program our systems so they
can educate their customers on how to maximize their multiroom audio/video
investments."
Russound will demonstrate the online courses
with a computer station at booth #518 at CEDIA Sept. 7-11.
