TV One's new TV One-task family of DVI products targets home theatre market (24/8/2005)

Designed expressly for use in high-definition home theatre systems, five new components from TV One are now shipping that extend the range of DVI signals and offer a versatile number of display options. Part of the TV One-taskú product group, the devices are all fully HDCP compliant, and collectively join to form the 1T-DVI Series.

Central among these new offerings is the model 1T-DVI-RH DVI Repeater. Capable of sending any high-definition signal 40 feet or more using premium cable, the unit eliminates signal degradation by completely rebuilding and amplifying all digital video input. Its reach can be extended even further by using TV One's Z-Plus ZD-1813 Super High-Resolution DVI Cable, and up to three of the repeaters can be cascaded to conquer extremely long distances.

Next among TV One's new DVI products are the 1T-DVI-512 and 1T-DVI-514 DVI distribution amplifiers. Capable of taking the sum of a single input and respectively providing two and four outputs without any degradation or loss of original quality, the distribution amps are ideally suited for sending a single-source DVI signal to multiple displays.

Conversely, viewing multiple DVI signals on a single display is just as easy thanks to the 1T-DVI-721 and 1T-DVI-741 DVI routing switchers. With the former ready to accept two inputs and the latter accepting four, both switchers maintain video signal quality throughout the process by passing vital HDCP information from the selected source along to the output. Video input selection is offered via front panel controls on either unit, or IR remote control. To facilitate applications requiring that the switchers be hidden from view, an IR remote receiver is also offered.

PC-compatible for general computer use as well, all five of the new TV One DVI products meet FCC and CE standards, and are EDID and DCC compliant. Not much larger than a standard AC plug, TV One's exclusive micro-power adapter can also be used with each, while a locking DC-power connector guards against accidental loss of power during operation.

Suggested retail prices for the new TV One-task 1T-DVI Series products are $249 for the 1T-DVI-RH DVI repeater, $299 and $399 respectively for the 1T-DVI-512 and 1T-DVI-514 DVI distribution amplifiers, and $249 and $349 respectively for the 1T-DVI-721 and 1T-DVI-741 DVI routing switchers.
