Wireworld Pioneer upgrade cable kits (5/8/2005)

HDMI, the new high bandwidth digital AV connection standard is fast becoming a standard feature on all digital display devices, and especially on HD ready products. Due to the wider bandwidth requirements of HDTV compared with the standard resolution signals, further demands are placed on the cables making the quality of the cable even more important.

Major manufacturers including Pioneer are creating products with separate media boxes to which a digital source (a DVD player or the forthcoming SKY HDTV box) is connected via a HDMI cable. The media box is the control centre through which all signals have to pass before entering the display device. Until now, the only cables available to connect these two components were the basic, no-frills, versions supplied by the manufacturer. To remove this weak link, we now have high performance upgrade cable kits to complement our HDMI range.

As well as providing significant improvement to the picture quality over the standard 'umbilical cord', the plasma screen can also be positioned up to 20 metres away from the media box without loss of performance.

Wireworld upgrade cable kits and HDMI cables are available in the 3 different grades. Choose from the entry level Chroma, the mid-priced Ultraviolet or the highest performance Starlight.

Ultraviolet & Starlight cables use silver-clad OFC conductors and WireWorld's proprietary Wavesquareª Digital Jitter Reduction Technology, which minimises timing errors so effectively that the cable can be used in long lengths without degradation.

These upgrade kits are also available for other major brands including Sharp and Sony.
