Revel's New Concerta Series Offers Top Performance in its Class (14/7/2005)

The US loudspeaker specialistās new affordable high performance range offers floor and stand mounting speakers, a triple-mode surround speaker and a 650W active subwoofer.

Revel has introduced the Concerta line of high-performance designs, which establishes an elevated standard of sonic accuracy and provides a wide dynamic range at more affordable price points.

The new range features the companyās proprietary transducer designs, sophisticated filter networks and unparalleled engineering. It comprises the F12 floor-standing loudspeaker, M12 Monitor, C12 Centre Channel, S12 Surround Speaker and B12 Subwoofer.

The Concerta Series loudspeakers benefit from materials and features usually reserved for more expensive products. These include an Organic Ceramic Composite material, developed for its low distortion properties and used for the woofer, midrange and tweeter diaphragms (an anodized aluminium diaphragm is used for the B12 subwoofer); a proprietary tweeter waveguide for seamless midrange-tweeter blending, even far off-axis; high-order filter networks for wide dynamic range without compression, optimised woofer and midrange motor structures, magnetic shielding for use near video monitors, gold-plated binding posts and an elegant cabinet design in a selection of high-quality vinyl finishes: Natural Cherry, Maple or Black Ash.

The F12 is a three-way, full range speaker comprising four proprietary transducers ÷ two 8- inch woofers, a 5.25-inch midrange and 1-inch tweeter.

The M12 is a two-way monitor featuring a 6.5-inch woofer and 1-inch tweeter.

The C12 is a true three-way centre speaker and the perfect companion to F12 and M12.

The S12 is a two-way surround sound speaker featuring dual 5-inch woofers and dual 1-inch tweeters.

The powered B12 Subwoofer develops an impressive bass output from its proprietary 10-inch woofer and integrated 650-watt amplifier.
