Ruark Loudspeakers Announces Vita Symphony Low Profile Wallmount Speakers (14/7/2005)

Without question our industry is changing beyond recognition. At Ruark we are confident that the demand for quality audio systems will ultimately survive but with the advent of Home Theatre and Multi-Room, customers are increasingly looking at products as much for their aesthetic appeal as sound quality. Loudspeakers in particular are a contentious item and in many cases it seems that customers want these to be either small or hidden from view. Both these options are normally a serious compromise to sound quality! Most satellite systems offer limited bandwidth and the performance of in-wall and in-ceiling systems are directly affected by the quality of installation and the surface to which they are mounted. The installation of the latter can also be a time consuming and messy process.

Vita Symphony

In response to these circumstances with Vita Symphony we have carefully developed a series of speakers which are compact and blend almost seamlessly with their surroundings yet are capable of offering performance similar to that of free-standing audiophile designs.

Outwardly each speaker offers elegant simplicity, but beneath the surface Symphony employs unique solutions to overcome the problems associated with using speakers close to room boundaries. Indeed Vita Symphony has been engineered and voiced to take into account the effect of on-wall placement. The result is speakers which are open and lucid, yet offer surprising bass authority, allowing them to be used in many applications (particularly music) without the addition of an active subwoofer.

As discussed the performance of in-wall and in-ceiling speakers are often greatly effected by colouration caused by the unwanted vibration of the surface to which they are mounted. Symphony employs a highly effective isolation system to overcome this problem. Indeed Vita Symphony speakers can be mounted on partition walls or even large pieces of furniture without degradation to sound quality. Mounting of the speakers is also achieved in minutes rather than hours with little disruption to surroundings and decoration.

Vita Symphony comes as standard in Oyster White and Silk Black with Natural and Graphite grilles. Symphony can also be supplied in a range of custom colours and grille options to special order.

In conclusion where quality sound is required and conventional speakers cannot be accommodated Vita Symphony offers wide ranging applications and should appeal to architects, interior designers and music lovers everywhere.
