Middle Atlantic Products Releases RackTools 3 Free Layout and Specification Package (4/7/2005)

This significant upgrade features full AutoCAD compatibility, is available in web and stand-alone versions and does not require any third party software.

Middle Atlantic Products has introduced RackTools 3, a new version of the company's free layout and specification software package that does not require Visio or other third-party software, making specification of products simpler, easier and faster. With quick, automatic updates and full AutoCAD compatibility, RackTools 3 allows integrators, dealers, distributors, consultants, and architects to freely and transparently port projects between RackTools and AutoCAD, and improves the efficiency and accuracy of their project workflow.

Developed with integrator input and consultation, RackTools 3 is now available in web and stand-alone versions and is designed to make specifications of products faster and easier than ever before. RackTools 3 gives integrators the added ability to preview a project through side and rear views in addition to the front and plan views, a feature that is exclusive to RackTools 3.

Rack Tools 3 was developed by Stardraw.com, utilising their popular design program and runs on the Microsoft .net framework, standard on computers running Windows XP Service Pack 2, and is included in the RackTools 3 install package. The .net framework gives RackTools 3 significant advantages over other web-based platforms, including higher security, and minimal resource usage.

RackTools 3 is available in web-based or standalone versions and contains the entire Middle Atlantic Products product database. RackTools 2.5a will still be made available for those currently running the Visio platform version.
