Marata Vision appointed distributor for automated
curtain systems (1/7/2005)
CEDIA UK Expo 2005
Marata Vision has been appointed a key distributor
for Goelst's electrically operated curtain track systems. The agreement
means that Marata can now offer total lighting control systems through
control of both daylight and artificial lighting.
The trade only distributors are offering
Goelst's new generation low voltage curtain track systems. The G-rail
6200 and 6300 models incorporate 24V motors and are suitable for
curtain types ranging from lightweight domestic through to heavyweight
contract. Powerful but quiet, the systems can be programmed with
intermediate stop settings.
Both models have low voltage and infrared
remote control as standard but also include a CAN-bus interface.
This gives them the option to be linked up directly to lighting
control systems such as iLight, which can also control other building
automation systems such as audiovisual (home cinema), HVAC and security
systems.
As well as convenience, curtain control systems
have the advantage of improving security by closing/opening when
occupants are away, as well as reducing overheating from sunlight
and limiting harmful ultraviolet exposure to furniture, carpets
etc.
The curtain systems are demonstrated on Marata's
stand at CEDIA Expo 2005 UK. Also on display are a wide range of
integration and audiovisual products, including the iLight Zen dimmer
range, the latest waterproof bathroom LCD TVs from Aquavision, home
cinema projectors from Sharp and JVC, projection screens from Vutec
and projector lifts from Audipack.
