Crestron Brings Enhanced Isys Touchpanels To CEDIA
Expo (1/7/2005)
CEDIA UK Expo 2005
Crestron introduces its next generation of
Isys(r) touchpanels at CEDIA Expo including the new TPS, TPS-G,
TPMC-QM and TPMC-CH Series', which all offer enhanced graphics capabilities
and faster processing speeds at breakthrough pricing.
Isys(r) touchpanels are available with a
12"or 15" display, or a 17" widescreen display in a variety of styles
including desktop tiltcase and wallmount designs. Isys touchpanels
offer a wide-range of features and capabilities such as composite,
component and S-video inputs, HDTV inputs, high-resolution RGB graphics,
bi-amplified speaker system, built-in microphone, standard Ethernet
CAT5 and/or Crestron QuickMedia (QM) connectivity up to 300 feet
using inexpensive UTP wire.
Isys(r) touchpanels feature a 32-bit Motorola
ColdFire(r) Microprocessor to produce astonishing full-color graphics
with lightning-fast performance and incredible versatility. The
latest Isys touchpanels now offer 24-bit graphics and brighter displays
with excellent contrast at any viewing angle. Crestron's new Isys
Series supports enhanced GUI capabilities such as high-resolution
graphics and images, dynamic text, full-motion video, animation,
multimode objects, translucency and transition effects. The ultra-efficient
operating system and generous onboard memory ensure optimum performance.
Graphical objects appear instantly, pages redraw faster, and new
pages open quicker than ever.
Crestron's new Isys(r) family of products
consist of four series of touchpanels: TPS, TPS-G, TPMC-QM and TPCM-CH:
TPS touchpanels accept composite, component and S-video inputs standard
with no expansion cards required. The display window on all TPS
touchpanels is scalable up to full-screen. Video signal enhancement
features such as the built-in scaler with motion adaptive deinterlacing,
gamma correction, time-base correction and 3:2/2:2 pull-down maintain
the optimum, high-quality video image on the touchpanel display.
The TPS-G Series add support for HDTV signals
up to 720p and 1080i, and high-resolution computer graphics up to
1600x1200. TPS-G touchpanel screens feature a dual-Window display
to view full motion video and high-resolution RGB. The touchpanel
GUI can be output to an external display along with speech audio
from the built-in microphone and stereo program audio. The TPS-G
Series of touchpanels also include a PC card slot for wireless 802.11g
LAN capability, built-in 10/100BaseT Ethernet, two QuickMeida (QM)
input ports and one QM output. QM is Crestron's innovative technology
that streamlines presentation system design and simplifies installation
by transmitting audio and video signals over a single CAT5e or CAT6
type cable.
The Isys(r) i/O TPMC-QM and TPMC-CH series
of touchpanels feature an embedded Windows XP Operating System providing
onboard PC functionality for Web access via Internet Explorer, streaming
media using WindowsMedia(r) Player 10, e-mail, any popular file
viewers including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint(r), and Adobe(r) Acrobat(r)
securely in a locked down environment - all while providing easy
control of AV distribution, lighting, climate control and security.
No external computers are necessary. Crestron TPMC-QM touchpanels
also include MediaMarker(tm) for real-time annotation directly from
the touchpanel display. Perfect for any presentation application,
notes can be made electronically over still images, computer graphics,
live video or streaming media.
