Peerless Industries Offers Four Entirely New Designs under SmartMount Family of Flat Panel Display Mounts (16/6/2005)

Peerless Industries, Inc., the industry leader in audiovisual mounting solutions, is offering four entirely original designs as part of its popular SmartMount family of universal flat panel wall mounts. The two flat and two tilting products for 10"-42" screens provide a multitude of fresh mounting options for flat panels that require an ultra-slim, space-saving appearance. The new designs will be shown as part of the complete SmartMount family in the Peerless Industries booth (#2519) at InfoComm 2005.

Announced in May 2005, the SmartMount family incorporates the widest range of flat panel mount sizes, styles and features for virtually any screen ranging from 10"-63". The SmartMount line is ideal for a long list of professional and CEDIA environments, ranging from traditional conference rooms and offices, to public locations like retail stores, stadiums, hotels and healthcare facilities, to even high-end home entertainment rooms.

According to Dennis Krob, market manager, professional mounting solutions for Peerless Industries, "Peerless' in-house staff of design engineers aligns with major flat panel manufacturers to develop new mounting solutions based on technology trends and end user requirements. Many of our commercial customers need their small and mid-size flat panels to mount as close to the wall as possible so they are out of the way in high-traffic areas and take up minimal space in tight locations. The new mount designs allow users to discreetly place their flat panels in places where they can still be easily viewed without being obtrusive." Krob continued, "Like the entire SmartMount family, the new designs allow users to optimize the equipment while providing additional features that protect the displays from damage and theft."

The SmartMount Universal Flat Wall Mounts (SF630 for 10"-40" screens and SF635 for 10"-42" screens) incorporate an extremely slim wall plate that holds the screen only an inch away from the wall for a clean, efficient appearance. These mounts come standard with screen adapter plates that are compatible with VESA 75mm and 100mm (and the addition of VESA 200mm and 200mm x 200mm for the SF635) mounting hole patterns. Non-VESA adapter plates are also available for conformity with virtually any flat panel within the listed screen range. They are key for surveillance rooms in retail environments, common areas in crowded convention centers or any location where there is a need to keep the flat panel close to the wall.

The SmartMount Universal Tilt Wall Mounts (ST630 for 10"-30" screens and ST635 for 13"-42" screens) offer a self-balancing design with +15/-5 degrees of one-touch tilt adjustment for flexibility without the use of tools. Installers simply hook the screen adapter plate onto the wall plate then lock the desired tilt angle into place as necessary. These mounts also come standard with screen adapter plates that are compatible with VESA 75mm and 100mm (and the addition of VESA 200mm and 200mm x 200mm for the ST635) mounting hole patterns. They are perfect for use in front of the cardio machines in workout facilities, next to the concession stand in a stadium or to support flat panels flanking a projector in a corporate conference room.

The new SmartMount designs come standard with socket pin security fasteners so installers can quickly tighten two screws that secure the screen to the wall plate to prevent accidental movement and flat panel theft. The four new mounts are made of cold-rolled steel for rock-solid sturdiness and are UL(R) listed and tested at 400 percent of the stated weight bearing capacity for added peace-of-mind. In addition, they are VESA FDMI (Flat Display Mounting Interface) Compliant for conformity with all the mechanical requirements of flat panel displays, further ensuring their reliability and cost-effectiveness.

SmartMount flat panel mounts come pre-assembled out-of-the-box with everything needed for set-up supplied in Peerless' Sorted-For-You(TM) fully labeled and pocketed fastener pack. The instruction manual packaged with each mount contains a comprehensive list of displays and hardware configurations, which correspond with the baffle pack. This simplifies and expedites installation, thereby eliminating downtime and unnecessary trips to the hardware store while allowing installers to help keep client projects on time and on budget.

The four new SmartMount designs are all currently available through Peerless' network of AV professionals at list prices ranging from $35-$99, depending on the model. Available in black and silver, these mounts can also be purchased without security fasteners for applications that don't require additional protection.
