Stateside Sound Solution Show-Cased at CEDIA UK Expo (6/6/2005)

Stand N5, Hall 3 Foyer, CEDIA UK Expo 2005

A revolutionary sound proofing material already widely used in the US custom installation industry, is being show-cased at this year's Cedia UK Expo.

Acoustiblok, which is being hailed by the US AV industry as the ultimate sound proofing solution, is now available directly in the UK and visitors to this year's Expo at the ICC Birmingham, will be able to see at first hand how it works.

The product, which is available in three millimetre or six millimetre format, saves valuable space yet deadens sound better than lead. It has already won an innovation and technology award endorsed by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).

Mike Ervine, Managing Director of Acoustiblok UK, who is currently working with CEDIA members who need help in sourcing acoustic solutions whilst preserving space, is delighted to be show-casing the product at this year's exhibition.

"What makes Acoustiblok stand alone from other sound reduction materials is that it has such tremendous density and mass, yet takes up such minimal space - a crucial factor in installation projects which require an acoustic solution.

"We shall be giving demonstrations on how effective Acoustiblok is throughout the day, on every day of the show, as well as offering advice on how best to sound proof home theatre rooms."

Acoustiblok three millimetre offers a sound reduction index (SRI) of 26 decibels, - six decibels more than lead. It is made from reinforced, loaded vinyl and has a density and mass of 1lb per square foot. An easy product to install, Acoustiblok can be used in walls, floors and ceilings.

The company will be exhibiting at stand N5 in the Foyer of Hall three at the ICC Expo from 28 to 30 June 2005.
